Why Round Bathroom Exhaust Fans?
Round shaped bathroom exhaust fans come in a variety of styles and provides a unique look. Unlike the traditional square shaped bathroom fans, round exhaust fans can actually look like normal light fixtures. And pretty much all round bathroom fans do have a center light.
Some are more decorative than others, and a few still look like normal bathroom fans except that they are round shaped. The grille surrounds the center light lens, and this is where air is sucked into the duct and then to the outside.
I invite you to also check out my guide on the best bathroom exhaust fans with lights that covers all styles of lights like round, LED, incandescent, and more.
Easier Install
Another great thing about round bathroom fans is that they don't have to be flush with the walls. Sometimes if the joists are not square with the walls, or if the installation bracket puts the bathroom fan slightly off, a square shaped bathroom fan can look weird. With a round bathroom fan, this isn't a concern, and it is one less headache in regards to the install.

How To Size Round Bathroom Fans?
An important consideration when choosing a round bathroom fan is the CFM—a standard measurement of air flow. CFM stands for cubic feet per minute and it is a measurement of how much air the bath fan can exhaust.
The basic recommendations for bathrooms in the 100 square feet range or less, you typically want a bathroom fan that is at minimum the same CFM as the square footage. Though you can always get a slightly more CFM than needed if you want.
For bathrooms greater than 100 square feet, you typically want to add up all of the singular fixtures. You can look at this table below to see how to calculate CFM. I also invite you to read my full guide on bathroom fan sizing right here.
